Head to Hamilton

A road trip west of the GTA opens up plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities along the Niagara Escarpment, including the celebrated Bruce Trail. In addition to the excellent wines and extraordinary cheeses, the region is home to the dunes and beaches of Sandbanks Provincial Park. Spend hours browsing the small-town shops along the main streets of Wellington and Bloomfield. Escape to peaceful Elora

The limestone gorge in the village of Elora has been a peaceful point of interest for decades. Today, the surrounding region is a hot spot due to the destination spa at Elora Mill, as well as the abundance of outdoor adventures possible. In fact, the whole Grand River valley is a bit of a playground.

Visitors can head out on the 50-km Elora Cataract Trailway or head into the Elora Gorge Conservation Area to hike the cliff-top trails and kayak on the river. After a picnic, take time for a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters of the Elora Quarry.
